Meri is a 38 year old girl from Armenia. She was always active and happy on live. When she was 24 year old, she was diagnosed with cancer and forced to have her right leg amputated to rescue her life. From time to time, she uses several prosthetic legs which she received from the Armenian state, but finds it always difficult to walk on it for long periods. She fights against discrimination and intolerance and never feels uncomfortable with people starring at her prosthetic leg, she feels special and unique with only one leg. Mari is a very open and outgoing person, she likes to model, meet people and she is a great inspiration for others in the same situation. Meri just took part in a professional photoshooting in Greece because she wants to help other people in a similar position to herself and show them that there is no reason for them to hide their disabilities. She conveys the important message that no-one on this planet should be coerced into a feeling of inferiority simply because of a physical disability.
